    • A valid passport with at least 6 months validity from the date you intend to Depart New Zealand. Check your Home Countries Visa requirements - you may need to show a return ticket.

    • Your full (unrestricted) motorcycle driver’s licence

    • Your credit card to cover the Insurance Bond

    • An old motorcyclist saying is “pack everything you want, then halve it, then halve it again”. We don’t think you’ll have to do this but please do try to pack light. There is a left Luggage service available. The side Panniers we currently offer are Givi Dolomiti at 36L each and a Givi Dolomiti Top Box at 46L. It is recommended you pack for just the 2 side panniers (total 72L), and leave the top box available for any small luggage overflow and storage for your helmet when you go for short walks/visits, etc

    • Helmets are mandatory in New Zealand.

    • Protective/windproof motorcycle jacket & trousers

    • Rain Gear if your riding gear is not waterproof

    • Good quality motorcycle Gloves & Boots.

    • Earplugs. It’s nice to rest your ears on Multi Day Tours

    • From November to April you may experience temperatures of 16C to 24C (61F to 75F). During February & March we can sometimes get temperatures of up to 36 C (100 F).

    • Leisure/Casual (not Business/Casual or Formal). You’ll find NZ has a relaxed dress code of jeans or shorts and T-shirts & Jandals

    • Warm pullover/sweater and thermal base layers

    • Shorts for hot days and maybe sandals or similar.

    • Swimming gear.

    • Travel adapters - NZ is 240v 50 Hertz.

  • Aside from the viewing the country on your Himalayan 450, there are many, many different types of tourist activities available.

    Depending on which part of New Zealand you are visiting you could choose from luxury wellness spa’s, paragliding, jetboating, bungee jumping, boat trips (Milford Sound, Scuba diving - Poor Knights Marine Reserve, Sports Fishing), tourist flights, hot mudpools, cultural shows, Wine tours, Degustations, short bush walks, Harbour Cruises, Seafood, Glow Worm Caves, Kiwi habitat visits, etc, etc….

  • Yes, most accommodations will allow you to use their laundry facilities. Costs vary per Hotel and load size, between $7 - $20

  • When you are accepted for one of our Tours you can expect the following to be included:

    • Accommodation including Breakfast. The style of accommodation varies with the region & areas visited. One night may be a Hotel with a city or lake view, another night could be a local Inn oozing charm and good company.

    • Some Dinners are provided (please refer to the Tour you are interested in)

    • Well maintained Royal Enfield Himalayan 450’s with Givi Panniers & Top box and Daily Route Map.

    • Comprehensive Motorcycle Insurance (an Insurance Bond of $3,500 is held against your credit card)

    • Fuel for all the Tour routes

    • Helpful and courteous Guides - Randal & Phil. We will be riding the route with you and can offer current advice on local attractions & activities.

    • We have timely breaks when riding to help you stay alert. Phil & Randal are First Aid trained and carry a Medical kit each. We also carry an Epi Pen, and an EPIRB/PLB due to some of the remote places we visit.

    • All our Tour Routes contain one or more Gravel sections (the ‘Grand’, ‘Petite Grand’ & ‘Southern Loop’ have a 160km section of Gravel road). The Northern Explorer also contains a Beach ride along a large section of ‘90 Mile’ Beach). While some experience is preferred with Gravel and/or Sand, it is not necessary. We allow plenty of time to pick up new skills along the way.
