Why We Ride – And Why We Started This Tour
Our journey into the tour business began with a deep love for New Zealand and a desire to share its magic with fellow riders. Nowhere else in the world offers such variety in one place. Every day on the road here can feel like you’ve travelled through three different countries – and that's no exaggeration.
The North Island is a dream for the riding purist: endless corners, minimal traffic, sparse villages, and scenery that constantly stuns. It's fluid, fast, and utterly captivating.
The South Island delivers a different kind of grandeur – think the majesty of the Alps blended with the ruggedness of the Himalayas. Add to that winding roads, incredible food and drinks, and scenery straight out of a postcard, and you’ve got an unforgettable experience. Riding here is pure addiction. And sharing these moments with guests? That makes every ride feel brand new.
The Why
Our Routes
Our tours offer a dynamic mix of sealed roads, gravel stretches, and – depending on the route – black sand beach riding. While we cover many of New Zealand’s most iconic roads, we also take you beyond the guidebooks, down hidden tracks and lesser-known paths that locals treasure. You’ll feel like an early pioneer exploring untouched, remote landscapes – all while never being far from a great café or a warm, comfortable bed.
Expect scenery that hits every note: rugged, serene, quaint, dramatic, wild, and deeply moving. It’s a blend of poetic countryside and stunning geology – New Zealand at its raw, unfiltered best.
Why the Himalayan 450
For all our tours, we ride the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 – and for good reason. With a cult following around the world, Royal Enfield builds bikes that are simple, reliable, and incredibly fun. The Himalayan 450 might just be the best all-rounder out there: smooth on sealed roads, confident on gravel, and comfortable all day long. Its ergonomic design makes it perfect for long-distance adventure riding.
We’re proud to be New Zealand’s only tour company exclusively using the Himalayan 450, recognised by Royal Enfield for commitment to the ride and the rider.
NOTE: Every days ride ends around 4 or 5pm. Allowing plenty of ‘you’ time to chat, relax, enjoy a Dinner or sample some of NZ’s delectable array of refreshments.

Phil Long
I’ve spent most of my life exploring the world, beginning with hitchhiking adventures across New Zealand in my late teens. In my early twenties, I drove through nearly every corner of the country before expanding my travels abroad. I hitchhiked across Australia, backpacked through Southeast Asia, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, and explored Europe in a small campervan—from the Nordics to Portugal, Ireland to Romania & Turkey. Later, I sailed with my family through the South Pacific, visiting Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, and New Caledonia. In total, I’ve visited around 60 countries, but New Zealand always draws me back. After connecting with Randal through motorcycle work, I’ve rekindled my passion for touring NZ—especially by motorcycle, which I believe is the ultimate way to travel. With its stunning scenery, welcoming people, and incredible food, wine, and landscapes that shift with every hour on the road, New Zealand is a rider’s paradise—and I feel incredibly fortunate to call it home.
